South Ward voters are choosing new Ward Councillors this year as both incumbents (Councillor Minette and Councillor Morrison are not contesting the election.

With Harndorf now part of the South Ward, we will have three Councillors to represent the Ward.

The MCA COmmitte has surveyed all candidates who are seeking to be your representative as Mayor or Councillor. We asked questions about 7 topics/issues, many of which we have been raising with the Mount Barker District Council for some years already. 

Whoever is elected will come to the role with some understanding of our concerns. We will have a starting point for discussion about how to achieve the desired outcomes, and be able to hold them to account.

Two candidates have chosen not to answer the Associations questions.
